Last week Morocco cancelled all international flights and closed the land border with Spain due to the Coronavirus. This has in effect shut down tourism. Morocco receives around 13 million visitors per annum (around 7% of GDP) so this is going to have a huge economic impact on the country.
Our thoughts are with all our fantastic partners and their staff that make the trips we organise to Morocco so special for our clients. These range from the riads and hotels, desert camps, guides, restaurants, golf courses to our wonderful drivers all of who will all be affected by this.
Whilst we understand that it difficult to commit to a future trip due to the uncertainty please do continue to contact us if you are thinking of visiting Morocco in the future. We do expect to be very busy once travel restrictions are lifted and we are still happy to plan itineraries and take future bookings during this period.
Best wishes for what are very challenging times and thank you for your interest in Authentic Morocco.
