Marrakech day trips
Marrakech, known as the Red City (due to the colour of its city walls) is an essential part of most tours of Morocco. The city has long been known for its palaces, gardens, mosques, minarets and souks but lately has seen a proliferation of trendy restaurants, bars and nightclubs, art galleries, cooking schools and designer boutiques.
It’s intoxicatingly crazy, inspiring, chaotic, lively, occasionally maddening but never dull. It’s incredibly safe for a large city and there is no tolerance of crime. There’s more than enough to keep everyone busy, no matter how diverse your interests.
We would typically recommend a half or full day guided tour of Marrakech as part of any visit, which will take in the medina, souks, palaces and main historical sights of Marrakech.
