Morocco Tour with Fes and Marrakech, January 2012

"We thoroughly enjoyed our trip! Morocco is a fascinating country with a rich history. Thank you for all your help in putting it together for us. The three local guides were very informative and pleasant. They added quite a bit to our visit. The drivers were skilled and we were comfortable with both of them.

The riads were lovely. We especially liked riad in Fez, which was wonderful. It had a warm, cozy, friendly atmosphere. Michel was a wonderful host. His meals, especially dinners, were fabulous! The decor was so tasteful and thoughtful. It really was an oasis.

The riad in Marrakech was very nice, the location was good (just on the outskirt of the bustling medina). A drawback was that the staff could not suggest any restaurant for dinner, except a very touristy place with a 'show'. They were helpful in calling restaurants for us. It has always been our experience that a hotel will be able to make suggestions so we were disappointed because dinner reservations became much more complicated than we have ever experienced in all our travels.

We spent over 10 hours in the car on the trip from Fez to Marrakech. We saw some interesting villages and the scenery was beautiful. There was a road block that caused us to have to back track and no one could have anticipated this.

Again, we enjoyed our trip very much."
