Marrakech Desert Tour with Taroudannt and Essaouira, May 2015
We had a wonderful time on the trip. Perfectly executed by your company. No surprises and the accommodations were first rate. Ali was terrific. The perfect amount of information and guiding balanced with respect for us to be off on our own at times. We have only one regret that we didn’t get a guide for the Medina in Marrakech, as it seemed fairly chaotic. Not your fault. We would definitely recommend your company. Thanks again for everything.
Marrakech to Fes with Glamping in the Desert, May 2015
We have made it to Fes and had a trip of a lifetime over the past couple days!! The camel trek and glamping in the Sahara is definitely something that I’ll never forget.
Abdul and Hisham were professional, kind and amazing. They both took great care of us, kept us safe the whole time and were so entertaining and knowledgeable. Along with the tour, the Taylor Swift singalong that we had in our car in the middle of Morocco was hilarious and so fun!
Thank you so much for a fantastic tour, couldn’t say better things about it!!
Please thank both Abdul and Hisham again for us. Amazing trip!!

Highlights of Morocco Tour, May 2015
From both of us, I want to thank you for helping us set up a trip of a lifetime. We had an awesome experience – the country is beautiful (we hit it just right when the spring flowers were in bloom), the people were so warm and friendly, the food was really good, and the locations we picked were beautiful. But all of this would not have been the same without the riads and their hospitality, and the transportation and tour you had arranged – this allowed us to focus on the beauty of the country and not worry about the rest.
Transportation: We could not have had a nicer guy than Ali Alla as our driver. Customer focused, polite, talked to us in the car about the areas we were passing through, gave us the history and cultural details of the Berber people, took pride in his vehicle. Very considerate – slowed down in the switchbacks as he knew Promona was a little car sick, picked up immediately that we enjoyed nature and the wildflowers and would slow down or stop when we came by a field of poppies, made sure we were well settled in the riads or at the Sahara camp. He made it very clear that we were his customers and our satisfaction was his priority, even at the riads. The only disappointment was to lose him on the last day of our trip. Hisham was an able and personable replacement but we had bonded with Ali. Ali heard us talking of a hammam and spa in Marrakech and suggested we talk with Idriss and help set that up which was a great experience.
Riad in Chefchaouen: Very good. Beautiful room, warm service, lot more activity as there was a large group there at the same time. No complaints, it was very good.
Riad in Fesi: What a beautiful riad. Dominique, Latifa and the rest of the team were so good – warm, hospitable, food was very good, fun, gave us maps and instructions for the Fez median and souks. Excellent choice. Fez – what a fun medina!
Sahara Camp: Great experience. Our guide was good and took care of us the entire time. We got started in a small sandstorm that just added to the experience! The night was a little rough as the wind was blowing strong until 4 am. But we gained a whole new respect for the nomadic ways of the Berber. The next morning was a perfect sunrise.
Hotel in Skoura: I am not sure if you planned this intentionally, but to spend the evening in an oasis within an oasis after the Sahara was brilliant. We so enjoyed the property and Michele and her husband were perfect hosts. Fresh fruits served and nothing like seeing the help picking the vegetables from the garden for your salad! Great idea to spend it in Skoura as Ourzazate was less than impressive.
Riad in Marrakech: Stuart, JulieAnn, Ibrahim and Mohammed made us feel like absolute royalty – so attentive, so complete in thinking of your every need, the food was delicious and presented like we were in a Michelin Star restaurant. Really outstanding. Our flight out was early and we were to leave the riad at 5 am, and there was Mohammed at 4:30am with freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee and tea – we did not ask for it, they made it happen.
We have travelled fairly extensively and usually research and plan our trips and make all our bookings and transportation arrangements. This time was the first that we reached out for help and primarily due to the short time period, and you understood what we were looking for and helped us effectively and efficiently and we truly appreciate it. Thank you and we will be sure to recommend Authentic Morocco to all our friends. And we will be back to Morocco!
