A Moroccan Holiday for Natural Friends
A tour of Morocco, for members of Natural Friends, which will take you from the Imperial City of Marrakech to sands of the Sahara.
A singles holiday, and all that may conjure up, is not what is planned. This is an opportunity to enjoy a holiday in a warm and fascinating country with like-minded people and seats will be offered on a first-come first-served basis irrespective of age or sex.
Arriving in Marrakech we will spend one night in this vibrant city before heading South on a desert adventure to the Sahara dunes of the Erg Chebbi sand sea at Merzouga. Along the route across ever-changing landscapes we will visit oasis valley gorges, crumbling kasbahs, Berber villages, bustling souks and of course the desert where we will spend two nights in a hotel at the dune line with an evening camel ride for sunset. At the end of the trip are three nights in Marrakech to include a day trip to the coastal town of Essaouira.

Morocco Tour Dates and Outline Route
- Day 1 – Arrive Marrakech. Hotel with bed & breakfast
- Day 2 – Marrakech to Dades Gorge. Hotel with dinner, bed and breakfast
- Day 3 – Dades Gorge to Merzouga. Hotel at the dune line with dinner, bed and breakfast
- Day 4 – Desert experience. Hotel at the dune line with dinner, bed and breakfast
- Day 5 – Merzouga to Ouarzazate. Hotel with dinner, bed and breakfast
- Day 6 – Ouarzazate to Marrakech. Hotel on bed & breakfast
- Day 7 – City tour of Marrakech. Hotel on bed & breakfast
- Day 8 – Day trip to Essaouira. Hotel on bed & breakfast
- Day 9 – Free day in Marrakech. Hotel on bed & breakfast
- Day 10 – Transfer to airport and depart
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Marrakech
Arrive Marrakech and transfer to a 3* hotel on B&B. Depending the time of arrival there is the possibility of having a guided half day tour of Marrakech or perhaps a visit to a luxury hammam (steam room).
Day 2 – Marrakech to Dades Gorge via Skoura Palmerie
8am transfer across the Atlas Mountains via the highest Atlas road pass (Tizi-n-Tichka) to Dades Gorge mountain pass to the verdant oasis of Dades Gorge, stopping for mint tea at the partially renovated Kasbah d'Imridil in the Skoura palmerie. Continue from Skoura to Boumalne Dades and drive along the gorge to our hotel on HB (evening meal and breakfast included).
Day 3 – Dades Gorge to Merzouga
9am transfer to Merzouga and check into the hotel at the dune line with time for a swim before walking in the dunes to watch the sunset. Hotel at the dune line on HB (evening meal and breakfast included).
Day 4 – Desert Experience
A day to relax to the pace of the desert and swim. Late afternoon climb aboard a camel for a sunset trek with a desert guide. Hotel at the dune line on HB (evening meal and breakfast included).
Note: there is the option to take a 2hrs camel trek, with a desert guide, to sleep inside the dunes at a desert camp.
Day 5 – Merzouga to Ouarzazate
9am depart for Ouarzazate and, en route, visit the Todra Gorge. Hotel with pool on HB (evening meal and breakfast included).
Day 6 – Ouarzazate to Marrakech. Hotel on bed & breakfast
9am transfer to Marrakech via the World Heritage Site of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and the Kasbah of el Glaoui at Telouet. Lunch in Telouet and depart for Marrakech. 3* hotel on B&B
Day 7 – City tour of Marrakech
10am walking tour of Marrakech with a City Guide to include the souks, the palaces, the gardens and the Djemaa el Fna. 3* hotel on B&B
Day 8 – Day trip to Essaouira
9am day tour to the pretty coastal town and fishing port of Essaouira. Sip mint tea in a cafe in the medina, explore the craft shops on the way to the ramparts, each fresh fish and visit a women’s argan oil co-operative. 3* hotel on B&B
Day 9 – Free day in Marrakech
A free day to explore Marrakech and, perhaps, the afternoon in the luxury hammam. 3* hotel on B&B
Day 10 – Transfer to airport and depart
Price and What is Included
The price of the tour is £372 per person based 16 in a minibus
This price includes:
- airport transfers on the 6th and 15th November
- seat in the minibus on the desert tour and day trip to Essaouira
- Hotels on a twin-share basis – 2 per room
- hotels on B&B (bed and breakfast) or HB (dinner, bed and breakfast) as per the itinerary
- camel ride at sunset with a Desert Guide
- day’s tour of Marrakech with a City Guide
This price excludes:
- flights
- evenings meals in Marrakech where there are lots of restaurants to choose from

Confirmation & Payment Options
Tours are confirmed on receipt of a 25% deposit and the balance is due four weeks before the start date of the trip. Payment can be via bank transfer or we accept all major credit cards except AMEX. Credit card payments incur a 1.5% surcharge that is not included in the cost of our Moroccan holidays to give you the choice of payment.
Bank transfers may incur charges and debit card payments are free.
