Alkalizing in Marrakech
Alkalising Morocco Tours, and much more, with Kate A'Vard
28 Nov to 2 December 2008
Your alkalising holiday in Morocco is led by Kate A'Vard, nutritional blood microscopist and alkaliser, and Liz Williams, avid alkaliser and Moroccan expert.
We all know from experience that travelling and alkalising is a challenge that we often give up to fit in with the local culture. On this holiday your meals are inclusive and each one is prepared with you in mind - no inappropriate foods and drinks as everything is to hand.
Each meal, designed around an alkalising programme, is planned by Kate to ensure maximum nutritional value with a delicious and fulfilling taste experience. Ingredients combine the freshest seasonal salads and vegetables, locally milled salt and pressed oils for freshness, and alkalising water. We know where all the produce and condiments are sourced and our Riad chefs have been trained in alkalising food preparation to ensure a high standard throughout the trip.
During the tour Kate will be on hand, exclusively to you, to answer questions about food, alkalising, health and other supportive aspects.
For further information and a detailed itinerary please contact Liz Williams at Authentic Morocco using the above contact details.
Our alkalising holiday in the exotic atmosphere of Morocco includes:
Two Hour Educational Session
In the shade of a Bedouin tent, on the terrace of our luxury riad in the old medina of Marrakech, Kate will take you through a two hour educational session on the blood, alkalising and travelling, and a question and answer session.
Traditional Hammam
A two hour luxury experience in a hammam will see you sweating it out in a steam room, having an amazing full body scrub, full massage and purifying seaweed wrap. Steaming and sweating is important to the body as it allows toxins to be eliminated through the skin. Here, in the privacy of the hammam, steaming opens up the pores ready for the body scrub that sloughs away at the dead layers of the skin allowing for easier toxin elimination. The full body massage removes toxins from the muscular and intracellular tissues in preparation for a seaweed wrap that draws the toxins out through the skin before you shower them away. Your skin is left feeling soft and dewy – walk in and float away!
Apothecary’s Delights
In the heart of the old medina of Marrakech we will visit an Apothecary, or traditional herbalist, to learn about local organic natural products that support blood cleansing and building. You will find all sorts of fun products to smell, sample and then take home with you to replace the chemical based products you may be using and absorbing into the skin. This is one of Kate’s most favourite aspects of the trip.
High Atlas Berber Village Life
High in the Atlas Mountains is one of the most alkalising places in the world and it is here that you will experience what it is like to breathe in pure O1 air. Kate will give a short lecture at this location as to why being in this kind of environment is beneficial and you will have the opportunity to take away a piece of your experience.
A Coastal Fishing Port
On a day trip to visit a coastal fishing port we will visit a women’s co-op that processes oil from the nut of the hardy argan tree that only grows in a certain area of Morocco. Nimble-footed long-haired goats climb into the tree’s branches in search of fresh leaves, shaking the small fruits to the ground. The fruits are hand-gathered, dried, and processed by the women to produce oil and other food products e.g. Amlou, a mixture of argan oil, honey and ground almonds. The argan oil, rich in vitamin E, omega 6 and rare plant sterols, has a nutty taste and soaks into the skin very well – both Liz and Kate are consumers of this product. Depending the season we will also visit an olive oil press where oil is cold pressed with a stone wheel turned by a mule and we will learn how to use the residue in our daily ablutions.
Personal Consultations
Personal consultations with Kate are available should you have a deeper requirement for understanding your own health issues.
Bio – Kate A’Vard
Kate A'Vard has been consulting as a Nutritional Blood Microscopist for almost 4 years. She personally trained with Dr Robert Young, microbiologist and creator of The pH Miracle and The New Biology, at his ranch in California. As a global traveller she is aware of the limited choice in many countries to support an alkalising lifestyle, but she diligently scours each region for appropriate resources. The first country on offer, for an alkalising holiday experience, is Morocco. Our joint love of this relaxed Muslim kingdom and the Berber culture has led to a joining of forces to share with you just how easy it is to travel and alkalise.
Kate will continue to give you the best of her knowledge to support you long after you have left Morocco.
