Walking Tour with English Speaking Guide

Arrange for an English speaking official City Guide to meet you at your riad or hotel and show you around Marrakech. Take a half day walking tour to orientate yourselves or a full day tour around the souks, historical sites and the Djemaa el Fna:

Marrakech Tours/Excursions to the Atlas (2 days)

Traditional Berber Life. Visit the Atlas village of Telouet and a traditional Berber souk; see the abandoned Kasbah of el Glaoui, former Pasha of Marrakech, and take a guided walk through valley floor gardens. Overnight in a Berber Guesthouse
Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. Travel across the Tizi-n-Tichka to Ouarzazate and visit the World Heritage Site of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou; overnight in a hotel with pool. Marrakech Desert Tours & 4x4 Safaris (2, 3, 4, 5 days)

We often receive enquiries for one day camel treks from Marrakech. For a Marrakech tour to the desert, including a camel trek to overnight in a Berber tent, you need a minimum of three full days; you can however take a two day desert trip and camel trek along the Draa Valley to the small dunes near Zagora if you have limited time:

2 Day tours - Marrakech to Zagora include evening and morning camel rides and an overnight in a nomad tent. The route from Marrakech to Zagora includes the Draa Valley, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and the High Atlas village of Telouet where you can visit the abandoned Kasbah of el Glaoui.
3 Day and 4 Day Desert Tours – Marrakech to Erg Chebbi include sunset and sunrise camel treks and an overnight in a Berber tent. The drive from Marrakech to Merzouga includes Skoura palmerie, Rose Valley, Todra Gorge, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and the Atlas village of Telouet
4 Day and 5 Day Sahara Tours – Marrakech to Erg Chigaga include a dunes' tour by camel and overnight in a desert camp. The journey from Marrakech to Mhamid includes the Draa River Valley, Zagora, Mhamid, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and the abandoned Kasbah of el Glaoui in Telouet
5 Day Desert Trips from Marrakech can include 2 nights in the desert or 1 night in the Atlas Berber Village of Telouet where, in contrast to the desert, you can walk through verdant valley floors where the local community grow crops.

Imlil and Mount Toubkal Ascent (4 day + Tours)

The highest Atlas peak of Mount Toubkal is within easy reach of Marrakech and achievable in four days from Marrakech. Additional days simply add to the joy of walking in this fabulous mountain range; or spend them exploring the souks of Marrakech before heading home. This mountain trip is suitable for a long week-end break or part of a longer Tour of Morocco.

Atlas Trek including Mount Toubkal – Suggested four day Itinerary

Day 1 - Marrakech to Imlil (Airport transfer direct to Imlil available). 10am transfer from Marrakech to Imlil, via the Ouirgane valley and the Berber village of Setti Fattima. On arrival in Imlil it is a 30minute walk to your Berber Mountain Guesthouse; mules carry your luggage. An evening to relax and enjoy the fabulous views. Berber Guesthouse on HB (evening meal and breakfast)

Day 2 – Imlil to the base camp of Mount Toubkal. 8am meet your Mountain Guide and load the mules; set off across mule tracks towards the highest Atlas peak of Mount Toubkal and reach the Mountain Refuge base camp in the afternoon. Mountain Refuge on HB (evening meal and breakfast) with picnic lunch

Day 3 – Ascent of Mount Toubkal, return Imlil. Early morning ascent of the summit of Mount Toubkal; descend and return to Imlil. Berber Guesthouse on HB (evening meal and breakfast) with picnic lunch

Day 4 – Imlil to Marrakech. Morning transfer to Marrakech.
